Food for the Soul: Celebrating 130 Years

This year marks 130 years
since the founding of St. Peter Claver Academy by Mother Margaret Healy-Murphy.  We want you to join  us as we honor the past and celebrate the future!
Our guests of honor will be the
Sisters of the Holy Spirit and Mary Immaculate.

About Our Event
Food for the Soul will be an evening of celebration with tasty bites from food trucks courtesy of the soon to be opening Brooklyn StrEAT Food Park competing for your votes. Art, music and poetry honoring a legacy of inspiration and hope will be competing
for your hearts. We’ll share stories from the Healy Murphy family and the Sisters from across the years, and enjoy a fun evening under the stars with supporters from across
the city. To highlight the celebration, we will also be hosting a media day for the groundbreaking of our new Childcare Center on November 13th. Cruz Ortiz, famed local artist and former art teacher at the Healy Murphy Center, will paint a plein air painting of the school to mark the occasion which will be auctioned off the night of Food for the
Soul. Limited edition commemorative posters of that painting will also be available to
guests for purchase or as part of their ticket depending on the level of support.
