Letter from the Executive Director
Dear Healy-Murphy Supporter,
Thank you for visiting the Healy-Murphy Center web site. Since 1888 the Healy-Murphy Center, previously as St. Peter Claver Academy, has been working with the youth of San Antonio. We are proud of the rich heritage and countless accomplishments we have made in the community.
Our mission is to work with youth who are at-risk of not finishing their high school education. Many of our students are pregnant and/or parenting or have encountered some difficulty in the regular school environment. We believe we offer hope, encouragement and the opportunity for a brighter future. The children of our teen parents receive quality care at our on-site child development center. In the earliest stages of life we strive to promote life-long learning.
Through this web site we hope to share the Healy-Murphy story. We hope you will find your visit informative, helpful and enriching.
