Give of Yourself
"It takes a village to raise a child."
-- An African ProverbHealy-Murphy Center recognizes that we are not alone in our mission to help at-risk youth pursue a brighter future. We are always in need of volunteers who are willing to devote some of their time and talents to help our students.
Thank you so much for your interest in volunteering at Healy-Murphy Center. There are several ways in which you can help. Volunteer opportunities include the following:
High School
- Tutor students
- Mentor students
- Facilitate activities
- Provide administrative support
- Put together a scrapbook
- Help with special projects
Child Development Center
- Facilitate activities
- Read to children
- Rock infants
- Help with Fall and Spring Fun Day
- Help with special projects, such as assembling blessing baskets for expecting teen mothers. Blessing baskets consist of all of the essentials that new moms need to care for their children including baby bottles, bibs, diapers, etc.
Community groups are also welcome to facilitate outreach projects and perform service projects including painting rooms on campus and planting gardens.
