HMC Students do their I-BEST and earn professional certification

Healy-Murphy Center has partnered with Alamo Colleges to offer Certified Nursing Assistant training on-campus through the I-BEST program.  This spring, 13 Healy-Murphy high school and GED students took CNA classes which included clinical training at St. Philip’s College and the Villas at Incarnate Word.  Each graduate now has a professional certification which qualifies them for immediate work in a healthcare setting and serves as a stepping stone to LVN and RN degrees.  A new cohort of HMC students has already begun their CNA studies and will graduate by the summer!  graduation
