Here are just a few examples of what your gift can do:

  • $25       Baby food for a day for 25 infants.
  • $50       Transportation for 15 students to attend a field trip to a local college/university.
  • $100     3 semester bus passes for teens to get to school, work and the doctor.
  • $250     Quality childcare and early education for one week for the child of a teen parent.
  • $500     Two children’s books for 50 teen parents to read to their children at home.

Or give monthly:

  • $10/month          Counseling services for one week for 35 teens who have suffered abuse
  • $20/month          One year of weekly well checks for 75 infants and toddlers of teen parents
  • $50/month          One year of education for a young person in crisis
Donation of Goods

The following is a “wish list” of items that are needed for the high school, GED and Child Development Center programs.

Child Development Center:

  • Diapers (sizes 2-6)
  • Children’s underwear(Sizes to fit girls 2-3; boys 2-4)
  • Children’s socks (Sizes to fit ages 2-5 years)

  • New Books for the take-home literacy program.
  • Baby clothes (ages 12 – 18 months)

High School:

  • Digital Cameras for Photography Class
  • Photo Printers for Photography Class
  • Various Art Supplies
  • School supplies (pens, pencils, notebooks, markers)
  • Lightweight jackets for both men and women (hoodies, fleece jackets, etc.)

Volunteer Opportunities

High School Program Mentor

A mentor meets once each week during school hours with a high school student at the Healy-Murphy campus.  We match mentors with young people who may share some of their same interests and career goals.  Mentors must be 21 years of age or older andsr. with baby able to commit to weekly visits for at least one school year.  Training and supervision are provided.

Child Development Center Baby Rocker

Baby rockers at the Child Development Center rock babies, read, and play with infants and toddlers under the direction of Center staff.  Baby rockers must be 18 years of age or older and able to commit to weekly visits for at least one semester.  Training and supervision are provided.
